Rome as most big capital cities, has lots of shopping malls to satisfy the shopaholics. The structures are usually big and modern and offer not only top brand stores but also bars, cinemas, games rooms and hypermarkets. Most shopping malls are located in Rome suburbs, where ample spaces can be used to build huge structures and equip them with vast parking areas. Here is a list of Rome’s main shopping malls: “ROMA EST” SHOPPING MALLAddress: Via Collatina Train: take a train to Tivoli at Roma Tiburtina station and get off at Lunghezza Opening hours: All week long Shops: 10 am – 10 pm; 9 am – 10 pm on Saturday and bank holidays Cinema: 2 pm – 11 pm Hypermarkets: 9 am – 10 pm Restaurants: 10 am – 11 pm; 9 am – 11 pm on Sunday and bank holidays This huge complex covers a surface of 136.000 m² and includes more than 220 shops, a multiplex and lots of bars and restaurants. Moreover, there is a big hypermarket, called Panorama, where you can find foodstuffs, personal care and household cleaning products. “ANAGNINA” SHOPPING MALLAddress: Via Torre di Mezzavia, 35 Underground: Anagnina Opening hours: Mon-Fri 9.30 am – 8 pm; Sat 9.30 am – 8.30 pm “Anagnina” shopping centre is located within easy reach, also by underground, and covers a surface of 24.000 m²; it presents two levels, 56 shops, 4 bars/restaurants and a 4 star hotel “TOR VERGATA” SHOPPING MALLAddress: Via Schiavonetti, 426 Underground: Torre Angela, then by bus Opening hours: Mon-Sat 9 am – 9 pm; open on Sunday only after the 21st March “Tor Vergata” shopping centre is located quite close to the city centre and presents a Carrefour hypermarket and 65 commercial businesses with shops like Zara, Nike, Tata and Autogrill. “PORTA DI ROMA” SHOPPING CENTREAddress: Via Alberto Lionello, 201 Train: Fidene, then by bus Opening hours: all week long 9 am – 10 pm (shops open 10 am from Monday to Friday) Restaurants and Bars: 9 am – 11 pm Cinema: Mon-Thu 1 pm – 1.30 am; Fri 1 pm – 3.30 am; Sat 11 am – 3.30 am; Sun 11 am – 1.30 am Porta Di Roma commercial centre is an immense structure with more than 220 shops and an Auchan hypermarket. There are shops like Decathlon, Media World, Fnac, Ikea and Leroy Merlin. It also presents the “UGC” multiplex, one of the biggest in the city, and a vast parking area with 7000 parking spaces. “LA ROMANINA” SHOPPING MALLAddress: Via Ferri, 8 Underground: Anagnina Opening hours: Sun and Mon 10 am – 11 pm, Tue-Sat 9 am – 9 pm; the hypermarket stays open all week long from 9 am to 9 pm. It has been recently restyled and has become an elegant structure with plate covering. It is organized upon 3 levels with lots of shops such as Mondadori, Media World, Tezenis and Swarovski, and a Carrefour hypermarket.
