The Museo Nazionale delle Terme di Diocleziano is a remarkable archaeological collection located inside ancient Roman baths. The baths’ remains are situated nearby Termini Station and are one of the four locations of the Museo Nazionale Romano (National Museum of Rome) together with the Palazzo Atemps, the Palazzo Massimo and the Crypta Balbi.

The museum dates back to 1889 and contains old collections of the family of Ludovisi and of the Museo Kircheriano. The epigraphic collection numbers 10.000 different exemplars, from mosaics and works of art to inscriptions and sarcophaguses. Inside the cloister built by Michelangelo you can see around 400 Roman sculptures and the visit also includes the Planetarium of the Aula Ottagona (Octagonal Aula) and the Olerarie Papali.
