With as many as 24 screens, the UGC Cinè Citè is the biggest multiplex in Rome and in Italy. The complex was opened in 2005 and is located inside the Parco Leonardo modern urban area. Each screen cinema can host even up to 400 people and the whole complex boasts a capacity of more than 6000 seats (50 reserved seats for disabled people). The screenings’ schedule reaches astonishing numbers: more than 300 movies every year, mainly European ones, and about 100 screenings every day. The complex’s architecture is amazing: the entire building rotates around a huge cube, used as an exhibition space. In Rome there is another UGC multiplex cinema, equipped with 14 screens, and is located in Bufalotta area.
